Cathy McQuade

Paralegal

What’s your background? Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Monkton, Maryland.
Where did you go to school?
I attended Towson University before transferring to Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) to obtain my Paralegal Certificate. I then took courses at Loyola University until I started my family.
Why did you choose to work in the legal field?
I started working, with no experience, at the age of 19, as a legal assistant and found that I thoroughly enjoyed working in the legal field. I enjoy helping and interacting with people and enjoy the challenge working in the legal environment. When you think you have seen everything, something else unique arises and gives me a new challenge to achieve.
What do you like about working at Rice, Murtha & Psoras?
There is a closeness with the co-workers in our office. A feeling of cooperation and teamwork permeates our office leaving you feeling appreciated.
What is your favorite food?
It is easier to say what I don’t like! But, if I have to pick one food – it would be Carbonera.
What is your favorite movie?
Nowadays, I usually watch what my grandchildren want to watch. An adult movie? I would have to say the John Wick series.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Spending time with my family, gardening, photography and scrapbooking.
